Manage course catalogs

Course Catalogs are an organizational tool that makes it easy to manage which courses are shown on 'Course Catalog' in MyTrainCaster. Setup multiple course catalogs to segment the course view for different groups of trainees: a catalog for lab personnel, a catalog for production personnel, a catalog for workers at the Boston facility, etc. Any courses assigned to a trainee will automatically be shown in their course catalog.

Note that using multiple catalogs is optional and can be implemented at any time.

This feature allows you to add, modify and delete course catalogs.

To add a Course Catalog click the Course Catalog button on the navigation bar.

To add a new catalog:

  1. Click the +Add Catalog button.
  2. Enter the name of the new catalog in the text box.

To add/modify/delete Catalog assignments:

  1. Click the number in the Courses column to add/modify/delete courses to the catalog.
  2. Select the courses to add from the unassigned course list and click <<Add. Then click Finished. To delete a course from the catalog, select the course in the Assigned list and click >>Remove. Then click Finished.
  3. Click the number in the Users column.
  4. Select users to be assigned this catalog from the unassigned list and click <<Add. Then click Finished. To delete a user from the catalog view, select the user in the Assigned list and click >>Remove. Then click Finished.

To modify/delete a catalog:

  1. Click the Course Catalog button on the navigation bar.
  2. Click the red X in the Delete column next to the catalog..
